The Boys in the Band

Jeff Larsen

(Guitar/Vocals)

Jeff picked up the guitar as a young lad of 10, and knew from the very beginning that he had found his calling. At sweet 16, he fronted two rock and roll bands, one of which included Rock Hard's Randy Thomas. By the time Jeff was a young adult he became a studio musician (grew out his hair too) and later joined Atlantis with Boyd Martin, which was one of the premier bands in the South Bay. Their most popular tune written by Jeff, "She Needs Someone", landed on the Best Of The Bay album sponsored by KSJO radio. The song won the title, "Best on the Album" by the voting public. After returning from an international tour, Jeff joined Big Men On Campus where he developed the art of pumping iron along with taking up the bass. Today, in addition to performing with Rock Hard, Jeff can be found as lead singer (Robert Plant) in a Led Zeppelin tribute band, "Heartbreaker" as well as lead singer (Steve Perry) in the Journey tribute band, "Journey Unauthorized". He also finds time during his busy schedule as a stunt man and body double for Paramount Pictures.

Randy Thomas

(Drums)

Entering his school's band at the age of 9, Randy developed a broad range of percussion styles, but he was most influenced by the rock & roll of the Beatles and Rolling Stones emanating from his older brother's bedroom. Randy's style was further broadened by the double-bass/kick styles of Alex Van Halen, and Tommy Aldridge (Pat Travers & Ozzy Osbourne). Before he could sport sideburns (of any real substance), he played with guitarist Jeff Larsen in Rebus, a band that created chemistry in style and preference that still continues today. Over the years, he also worked in theatrical lighting and sound doing shows for Kenny Loggins, Robin Williams, and Pat Travers. Recently, he gave up the bright lights in order to return to the music he loves so much.
Randy's favorite drummer joke: What's the difference between a drummer and a mutual fund? Answer: Eventually the mutual fund matures and makes money.

Harold Garcia

(Guitar/Vocals)

Harold has been involved with music since middle school, when he formed his first band with his friends. Since then he has played in numerous venues from concert halls to night clubs and corporate parties; from weddings to hole in the wall bars. Every single gig has enhanced his musical experience in a positive way. His big guitar influences include Jimmy Page, Alex Lifeson, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Beck, and Carlos Santana to name a few. Harold has also recorded numerous music projects throughout his career playing with a wide array of musicians; covering all genres from rock, blues, progressive/alt rock, to soul/funk, rhythm and blues, country and bluegrass.
Today Harold excels at his skill as a vocalist and guitarist. His main objective is to play with his heart so that the audience can experience an enjoyable show.

Andrew Gibson

(Bass/Vocals)

Andrew first picked up the stand up bass at the age of 10, with aspirations of spinning it while looking cool. Over the decades to follow, (yeah he's old) he's been involved in a wide range of projects rock, bluegrass, gospel, jazz, funk, cuban, symphonic, etc. Played large venues and small, just put an audience in front of him and he'll make sure they leave smiling.
